Tampa Bay Lightning center Steven Stamkos of the Ontario Hockey League’s Sarnia Sting has been signed by the Tampa Bay Lightning to the standard rookie deal of three years at an $875,000 base salary.

June 30, 2008
Former Pittsburgh Penguins winger Ryan Malone has signed a seven year, $31 million contract to play for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

LIGHTNING: Denis Bought Out
June 26, 2008
Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Marc Denis was bought out by the Lightning on Wednesday, making him an unrestricted free agent.
BOTTOM LINE: Denis has been dissapointing in his last two seasons with Tampa Bay, as he recorded only 18 wins in 54 games with the team. He will have a hard time finding work.
